En route BR #174-1, Posto Abonari

I left the Hotel Ibis of the airport On Monday March 21st to go to Boa Vista, then Bonfim border of Guyana. It is approximately 800 km in four days. Br #174 has a good roadway whose certain sections were recently renovated. It is a true happiness after Br #139. The landscape is fresh water marshy and some trees are partially burnt. It rained all the day. I found a bivouac at the gas station BR Posto-Abonari.

Bacabal

On Tuesday, March 22th was still a driving day with like only point of interest the crossing of the equator with return in the northern hemisphere. Indeed Guyana, Suriname and Guyana are in the northern hemisphere certainly very near to the equator with regard to Guyana justifying the localization of the space center of Kourou for the launching of the ARIANE rockets. Of course it rained all the morning. The rain washed my truck partially! I bivouacked in the end of a field.

Bonfim

On Wednesday, March 22th was not a lucky day. On my way I noticed forest fires, photograph with smoke. Then while arriving at Boa Vista I looked for a cybercafé which I did not find in this modern city without road sign. It is built around the central place into three or four concentric streets. I warned a electronic shop where I asked where a cybercafé was. I did not obtain an answer but they proposed to me to use one their computers to consult my mailbox. Once more I appreciated the kindness of the Brazilian people. The temperature was of +34°C. I sought a bivouac at the edge of water to have freshness, que nenni. I continued my road up to Bonfim and the border with Guyana which I crossed without difficulty.
