Llyodminster, Saskatchewan

On Sunday, September 30 I arrived around 9 a.m. at Prince Albert. After shopping in Wal-Mart, I settled in Tim Hortons to read my e-mailbox and to publish the pages of my website. I learned that the spare parts sent by my brother will be delivered on October 1st before the end of the day. I decided to leave for Edmonton illico-presto. The road in the Prairie of Saskatchewan is monotonous. For the last time I photographed one of the cathedrals which made the wealth of the State. I bivouacked in a quiet street in the city.

Edmonton, Alberta

I left Llyodminster before the daybreak to head to Edmonton in the early afternoon. Landscapes are rather different from Saskatchewan. Hwy #16 makes ups & downs in rolling mountains. Altitude is around 650m high. I was at the opening of the UPS offices at 3 p.m. to heard that the parcel had already left for the Volvo Calmont where I went. Indeed I saw the UPS van. I explained to the receptionist work to be made by the German mechanic having worked on MAN trucks in his former life. The appointment was given on October 3rd for two days of labor. Then I was going to consult a repairer of windshield who told me that it could nothing make, it had to be changed. I bivouacked in Wal-Mart.

The following day was a waiting day and preparation of my truck for the interventions. I spent the night in a adjacent street at Volvo.

The Wednesday 3rd was a long day at Volvo garage to install the steering rod, to control the silent blocs of the engine, they are in good state, to carry out various minor repairs whose leaks of diesel at the filter of the Panda Generator and at the filter of the pump to transfer diesel from the secondary tank to main tank etc. Concerning the starter the diagnosis of the mechanic was without call: it is necessary to change it by safety or to live with while typing above with a hammer when necessary! Of course I immediately launched an order to MAN-Bresse in France. Due to the planning of the garage I took a new appointment for Wednesday, October 10. Now it was a new waiting for spare parts since my return to the USA. I remained in the vicinity by safety and for my peace. I used the Wi-Fi connection of theLowe's store. The parking of Wal-Mart is limited at 24 hours, I alternated with other parkings. I had visited Edmonton on August 2011, 10th.

On Friday I telephoned MAN-Bresse to have news about my order. A few minutes later I received an e-mail announcing that it was in progress without other precision. Waiting continued.
