The obligation to ship by roro a empty campervan of its contents, except the mattress, in Japan and then in Canada/USA forced me to re-examine my roadplan. Of course I could have sail its contents on pallets, the nuisances made me give up. It had had to be done twice. The advantage is with a vehicle entering a container. The visit of the South Asia should begin in Japan from Tokyo to Fukuoka then a transfer by ferry to Busan to head to Sokcho in order to go to Vladivostok and in dream to do trip to Magadan in winter. For Korea I had studied a unfinished roadplan put in projects without continuation.

The optimization of transfers by planes throughout voyage by sea of my truck had as consequence a drastic reduction of time spent in Korea and in Japan as well as the beginning of the trip by Korea in Seoul, transfer to Japan from Busan to Fukuoka to finish in Tokyo and a plane to Vancouver, port of arrival of the roro. It was an inversion of the envisaged trip. The new roadplan in Korea begins in Seoul then the East coast with incursions into the interior of the country and after an escapade in the island of Jeju-do in the south of the peninsula of Korea in East China Sea back to Busan.

The setting in music was carried out during my stay, by waiting for arrival of the roro Pacific Java, in Newmarket Gardens Caravan Park in Brisbane which with happiness has a WiFi connection but slow and unstable at A$33 a week. The visit in Korea was carried out by using buses which furrow the peninsula. Lonely Planet, English version, give all useful information which was confronted with the field reality. Two major difficulties were encountered, payment of services in cash and nearly exclusive use of the Korean language. December is dry and bitterly cold! It was a backpacker's trip.
