The crossing of border of Thailand on March 11 is presented by the travelog in Thailand. While arriving into Malaysia I have to accustom me again to hear calls to the prayer by powerful loudspeakers. On March 12th I left Rantau Panjang to go to Kota Bahru. I withdrew my new Visa Premier card at branch HSBC. Then at the beginning of afternoon I visited the historical centre of the city. Buildings are grouped close to Merdeka Square. The most interesting museum was Bank Kerapu which was the HQ of the Japanese secret police. It recalls with photographs of time the invasion of the Malayan peninsula by the Japanese troops during the Second World War. Then I moved towards the river Sungai Kelantan to find a bivouac at the edge of water. |

On the 13th before leaving Kota Bahru I stopped in Tourist Information Centre to obtain information on beaches. Que nenni, it had no booklet there. I decided to go to Pantai Irama, Melody Beach. Fortunately there were signposts. I discovered that this beach is at the northern entry Bachok. It is not great cleanliness with the difference in beaches of Thailand. However I remained there four days finally. |
