From 2007/07/15 to 2007/07/30

-- Islamabad

The 16/07 around 8:40 I went to the embassy of India to make the request for visa. It is necessary to take the Shuttle Diplomatic Enclave, 30 PKR for a return ticket, without luggage. It is necessary to come early; there is a queue in the morning. The embassy of India is the last one on the tour of the bus. The foreigners are allowed directly at the counter n°1. The two forms are filled immediately with two identity photographs and 3300 PKR, the embassy doesn't have change. The return of the passport with the visa was the 23/07. The whole of the step took two large hours.

The 17/07 at the beginning of afternoon I went to get my new biometric passport at the embassy of France. Moreover I was recorded in the Racine data base of the consular service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. All embassies have access to my biometric information as well as the address of the person being contacted in an emergency, my brother.

For three weeks the pump of tank 1 did not functioned any more. Following a shower having emptied it, its filling did not allow the restarting of the pump. Advice of a specialist and reading the documentation recommended the cleaning of the filters and the membranes of the pump. I did it but without result, the pump did not start again. Moreover the filter was not stopped by remains. In Tourist Campsite beside me a German camper-driver seeing me worked and perplexed asked me which my problem was. After explanations, he remembered to have had this type of incident three years ago . He says to me to restart the pump with a small pipe at the entry in a bucket with water while inhaling at the exit of the pump. The pump functioned after several inhalings.

The stay in Islamabad was to be prolonged until July 29 included in waiting of spare parts, primarily Seagull filters, I received them the 25/07. Although the temperature is high, between 34 and 38°C, and moisture around 80% and more the rainy days, I remained in Tourist Campsite because I had my slippers there.

Friday 27/07 around 17:00 a violent explosion resounded in Aabpara on the side of the "red mosque" with a powerful burned odour. A few moments later many sirens resounded. The district was buckled, consequently the cybercafé was closed.

The 28/07 Aabpara Market was in strike following the explosion of yesterday. All shops were close, I did not recover my cloths at the laundry. I have to wait Monday 30/07 and to leave the following day for Lahore.

The purpose of the followed week consisted to cross the border and to head for India.
