Thursday, August 30th I left the camp-site of Two Rivers in Botswana after 6 days due to my return to France. Because I was to receive a visa of entry South Africa of only 7 days, in accordance with what had been told to me by information as well as from Lonely-Planet as from the immigration officer at the exit South Africa while entering Namibia expected than my visa of entry South Africa on May 6th had fallen on August 8th. But the immigration officer at Twee Rivieren registered on my passport a 90 day visa expiring on 11/28/2018, she explained me that the computer gave her this instruction. Big Brother! Thus the received information are contradictory; only the entry South Africa is convincing for the duration of the visa. I return to France as envisaged expected that I had bought the plane tickets on June 30th, 2018 for obtaining a low price with a stop and go one night in Paris CDG.
From Twee Rivieren to Cape Town at African Overlanders I had 1110 km to traverse which I made in three stages, the first to Upington to make supply in diesel and food, then in Clanwilliam where I had already stopped on May 20th, 2018 and finally at African Overlanders where I arrived on Saturday, September 1st at the beginning of afternoon after a stop at Pick n Pay for food. I was reception cordially by Duncan and his Elie wife.
Wednesday, September 5 Duncan deposited me at the airport of Cape Town, CPT, to take a plane by Qatar Airways to Paris CDG, via Doha in 18:00 of way. I spent the night of September 6th at the Hotel Ibis to take a Joon plane on September 7th to Cape Town in 11:00 of direct flight. Elie, the Duncan's wife, waited me at the airport for my return. The officer of immigration gave me a 90 day visa.
Saturday, September 8 I have the disappointment to break down of the power of my Lenovo 12 year laptop With my other computer, Toughbook, I found a shop at Goodwood which sold an ad hoc charger where I went on Monday, September 10 in the morning. But alas it was not the charger but the internal laptop power. The employ store telephoned a repairer who answered that repair was inenvisageable. Piqued I returned to African Overlanders.
