Monday on January 28 in the morning I went to SDV to organize the transport of my truck by boat from Cambodia to France. I was accepted by a French-speaking Cambodian what facilitated the communication. Very quickly we agreed on the project. I was to have an estimate the following day. I returned to SDV around 10:30 to look for a workshop to change the broken bolts of the central fixing of the cell on the frame of the truck. Of course it was in a street. After more than two hours of discussions between workers I did not understood method that they wanted to employ to extract the threaded rods of the broken bolts. I made return the person of SDV for the intermediary. About 15:00 I understood that they did not have tools and that they wanted to weld an iron rod to unscrew the threaded rods. I refused this method. The end of the afternoon was devoted to update website and to contact France for the truck. Finally I dined with Marcelle and Alain. |

In the morning of February 1 I visited Tuol Sleng Museum, known under the acronym S-21, for Security Prison 21. It was a centre of detention and torture for the Khmer Rouge period from 1975 to 1978. The made atrocities are indescribable. Black and white pictures as well as paints point out the facts. A one-hour film is projected. I walked the old classrooms of the high school before 1975 while remembering with fear my visits in Dachau and in Auschwitz as well as the book by Robert Merle, “My job is death”. One evening, with my friends Marcelle and Alain, during a discussion of “Café du Commerce”, I recalled that politicians don’t know history or are amnesic. |

Days were occupied in contacts with France, Belgium and Germany to organize an
intervention in order to consolidate the fixing of the cell on the false
frame. In the current state it is not possible to drive to go to a port of
loading without degrading the floor of the cell. Via O. Lecourt a German
engineer, Wolf, arrived on February 03 to do the work of consolidation of the
cell in a workshop which I found with some difficulties. |

The following week was dedicated to consolidate the floor of the body worked by Wolf. |
