From Phnom Penh to Poipet
from 10/02 to 11/02/2008

The 10/02 was a driving day towards Battambang on the NH5 with a good surface quality. Landscapes are uniformly flat cut out in pieces of rice plantations. I stopped about midday by making a detour of 7 kilometres to see a Floating village of Kampong Luong. I settled in Battambang at the same campsite as on arrival on the 12/01 in Cambodia.

From Battambang to Sisophon the road NH5 is asphalted. On the other hand from Sisophon to Poipet it is a dirt track under work. Some sections are much degraded, the cell groaned. I arrived at 12:00 at the Cambodian border then ten minutes later at the border of Thailand. Procedures of crossings and money exchange lasted less than one hour. I found a parking on a large platform close to the town centre of Aranya Prathet and a only Internet coffee.

The following days I drove to the Port of Bangkok to find a shipping for my truck elsewhere I headed to Singapore.
