The 03/11 was the day of publication of the pages of my website as well as visit of Sihanouk Ville. There is nothing to see whether they are not white sand beaches unfortunately polluted by refuses given up by Cambodians after their picnics.

The 04/11 having decided to lunch in Victory Beach I fortuitously met there Anne and Jacques Collineau who invited me. I agreeably spent the afternoon with Jacques on Internet looking for a road towards the Strait of Bering! Then Jacques tried to obtain from the French Consul in Phnom Penh the letter requested by the Vietnamese customs in Moc Bai. He received a categorical refusal not justified; what does not forecast anything good for my entry Vietnam.

The 05/11 Michel Faucher, Operation Manager at the airport of Sihanouk Ville, found me at my bivouac to invite me to dine. He is made arranged a Bremach truck in France to travel round the World. Knowing the Consul of Vietnam in Sihanouk Ville it also tried him to help me to enter Vietnam. Alas the Consul missed.

The 06/11 was a rainy day, cloudburst fell down on the city. I lunched at the restaurant of Bungalow Village managed by the son of Jacques Collineau, highly recommendable.

The 07/11 accompanied by Michel Faucher and by the Cambodian Director of the Security of the Sihanouk Ville's airport  I went to the consulate of Vietnam. My “supporters” tried to obtain the letter required by the customs of Moc Bai, alas it was a failure again. Despite everything I invested in a visa at $37, reduced to one month! As with the poker to see.

The 08/11 I thus left Sihanouk Ville having played a poker to enter Vietnam. The NH4 Road towards Phnom Penh has a good quality on all trip with however some hillside degradations caused by heavy trucks. This road financed by American is toll road. There are three Toll Gates up to Phnom Penh, it is relatively expensive. Phnom Penh prepared the Water Festival which lasted all the following week. The centre town was partly interdicted with traffic. Palace Royal was brilliantly illuminated.

The 09/11 I headed towards the Vietnamese border by the road NH1 which has a good surface quality except the first 26 kilometres in the suburbs of Phnom Penh where it was a crammed muddy crowded of motor cycles. Alas the bridge on the Mekong announced for 2007/2008 is still not built. I made the tail in Neak Luong during three hours for going up on a ferry. Bavet is like Poipet a Cambodian Las Vegas.I bivouacked in the bus carpark close to the entry of the Cambodian border.
