Damage of the body
I Report:
In the cell I was intrigued by a crack at the bottom
of a separation with the garage. I inspected the lower part under the truck and I
discovered a long crack of the floor and a breaking of bolts of the central
fitting of the fixing of the cell. On the right fastener it missed 7 bolts out
of twelve and the left fastener 6 bolts out of twelve. The few bolts which I
recovered were oxidized. The bolts of the fittings of fixing of the cell at
the front and at the rear are in good condition. The crack of the floor ran in front of the fasteners right-hand side and left one of the central
fitting.

II Cause:
The metal structure of the floor is primarily
made up of two longitudinal bars on which come to set the three fasteners of
the cell. They are in the centre of the cell. The defect of design lies in the
fact that the fasteners of the cell do not cover all its width and are not
fixed on cross-pieces of the width of the cell. The central fastener supports
all the weight of the cell. The effort causes a push up of this fastener
involving the break of the wall of the garage and the shower.
III Consolidation:
The consolidation consisted in fixing two U shaped
bars of 120x50x4mm at front and at rear of the central fastener over all the
width of the cell and to weld them with this one in order to distribute the
effort to avoid the rise of the fastener in the cell. This intervention is
temporary to go back to Europe. Modification of the metal frame of the floor
of the cell, repairs of the damage caused by the depression of the floor remain
to be defined by specialists.
