Dominical

On beach & El Coco restaurant

On Tuesday morning November 17th I walked in Dominical village which is reduced to a ground street with hotels, restaurants, shops and two mini-markets as well as a Tourist Office where I collected the city map to seek a non-existent cybercafé except for going to the Diuwak hotel. On the other hand El Coco Restaurant accepted the parking of my vehicle. The conveniences are drinking water, cold showers, toilets  and Wifi for US$5 per day. I settled there for three days. Because the website http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/ in the country files, advice for travellers, tells that the border between Colombia and Venezuela is always closed. However I must be imperatively before the end of May 2016, end of my one year drug stock for my cardiac pathology, in Guyana at Cayenne to renew my nine-drug cocktail. I thus prepared the way by Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, the north of Brazil, Guyana, Suriname and finally French Guiana! The way of these nine countries adds up approximately 20,000 km according to the layout on the digital maps by QuoVadis7.2 software. Of course reality will be probably different. I must thus manage my time with attention to assume the risks; moreover I must take a barge from Porto Velho to Manaus to traverse the 750 km between these two cities in Amazonia. For this purpose I drew up a road plan day by day. The tourist visits will thus be reduced to the most highlights. At present I have appointment with the American couple at XS Memories on road CA#1 to finalize the share container from Colon to Cartagena. The wet season is still not finished, It rains the every day.

Golfito

On Friday, November 20th was a driving morning towards the border of Panama. To bivouac I made a detour towards Golfito then a dirt track on the left and finally I asked to the owner of a residence if I could station on his ground. His agreement was spontaneous and he guided me to install my truck. Of course I would have preferred a site at the edge of water, but finally I accepted.

Paso Canoas, frontière entre le Costa Rica & le Panama

On Saturday November 21st I left Costa Rica, look at the border crossing. Armelle & Christian Blot had given me an appointment at the border side Costa Rica. We met around 7:30 to exchange our information. They follow me on my website since the origin of my tour round the world.
