The 12/02 I left in the late morning to Kanyakumari. It was one day of road by the NH7 that is in good condition and under construction widening with four lanes. I stopped around 17:00 on a service area at approximately 12 km before Tirunelveli.

The 13/02 at twenty kilometers from Kanyakumari, I crossed a windmill farm, information taken at the control office, their number reaches more than four thousand. Arrived in Kanyakumari, the Tourist Office informed me that the parking was not allowed. Actually, I found one on Beach Road in front of the TTDC and opposite the View Tower. After installed, I went to see the point of the Land’s End of India, confluence of an ocean, Indian Ocean, of a gulf, Bay of Bengal and a sea,  Arabian Sea. This site could be magic. Alas refuses of all nature soil the site. To date nowhere, I visit a clean place of interest. Basins of ablutions of temples are nauseous cesspools where the devotees bathe, absorb water, wash their linen to acquire merits improving their karma. Indian is par excellence a “homo religiosus”. He practices one of the religions present in India with enthusiasm.

The 14/02 was a day of strolling in the city and in the neighbourhoods. I decided to change campsite to go two kilometres westwards at the edge of a cove and at the foot of a virgin to the child close to a village of fishermen damaged by the Tsunami.

The 15 and the 16/02, I remained at the campsite at the cove to have rest and admire sunrises and sunsets at the Land’s End of India. At one sunset, I met a French family visiting South India. It was the occasion of an exchange of information.

The 17/02 on the way towards Kovalam, I visited the extraordinary palace of Padmanabhapuram located at approximately two kilometres from the road NH47. It is representative of the art of the Travancore Kingdom. It is built part out of granite and part out of teak whose jealousies play with the light.
While crossing the border of Kerala, I was chased by a police officer on motor bike intimating me the order to turn over to the border post to require the payment of a license of circulation. I have many difficulties of rendering comprehensible to him that my vehicle was a home car and not a truck and that I was not a carrier.
The map above shows that Kovalam is badly positioned.
