On Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. I definitively gave up the Quinta Lala campground in Cusco whose ground became if not muddy but very wet due to the rain. I intended to bivouac on the way towards Pucara so taking the road to Arequipa to visit the canyon of Colca and Cruz del Condor. But these is 500 km including 300 of muddy track in this rainy season. I gave up the project to go directly to Bolivia, also in rainy season! I continued my way up to Sillustani to see again the Funerary Towers, Chullpas, that the Colla people set up to their leaders. I visited them under a gloomy sky in one hour of walk starting from the carpark where I obtained the authorization to spend the night.
On Tuesday morning under a small rain by 13°C at 3850 m high I left for Puno while stopping to me to take pictures of houses and porches mad up of dry stones splendid. Puno is a city with the quadrangular streets without much interest where I did not find a hypermarket, there still I continued up to finding an unforgettable bivouac at the edge of the Lake Titicaca at 3834m of altitude. Tomorrow I will cross the border towards Bolivia.
