After a rainy Sunday with a Siberian temperature, Monday, November 18 was partly sunny with a milder 14°C at the zenith. I parked my truck then I climbed the cliff overlooking the Rio Guadalete where were built the Basilica de Santa Maria in the Plaza del Cabildo adjacent to the Castillo de los Duques erected by the Moors in the 11th century, no visit. The basilica, 1580/1608, is composed of Gothic and Baroque elements. The interior has an altarpiece identical in miniature to that of the Cathedral of Seville and sumptuous paintings in gilded wood. The carved wooden choir is covered by an isabelin style ceiling. The portico of the square offers a superb panorama of the valley of Rio Guadalete.

Tuesday, November 19th, should have been an exceptional day because I had reserved a VIP façade at the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre. Alas when I arrived for the exhibition at 12:00 I was informed No Photo! Of course I took all the necessary material for this event. As a VIP, at the end of the show a hostess chaperone me to visit the facilities knowing that for the museum carriages, No Photo! The show is highly recommended by the quality of horse training. Previously and on hold I had visited the Cathedral of Jerez mix of Baroque, Neoclassical and Gothic style. The museum exhibits paintings by Zurbaran and Pacheco; But I did not have time to visit the Alcazar. I spent the night on the parking lot.
The rain had settled in the night and persisted all morning. The weather for the next few days was rainy. As a result I decided to go directly to Tarifa to embark on the first ferry to Tangier. Before moving to Camping Playa Las Dunas, cci-22560, I made the food supply.
Thursday, November 21 I arrived at Tarifa around 10:20 at the gate of loading where some private cars and two German motor homes were of which a Mercedes-G with a very high cell by Bimobil. At the counter I bought an one-way ticket and a Open return one. The boarding took place later a few minutes for a departure at 11:00 and an arrival at Tangier-City at 12:00. The entry visa in Morocco is obtained free on boat. The formalities of customs are at the aarival in Tangier-City without visit of my truck with French benevolence. I leave the port around 12:25 crossing Tangier, modern city, to reach the highway from Tangier to Rabat. Of course it rained in Tarifa as in Tangier…
