--Five days of voyage
towards Draguignan |
Any project implies a rigorous planning together with a variation space to assume the not respected times. The method is known. The risks, the unforeseen come to modify the stages of the project. Despite everything I did not think that the delays would accumulate because of people receiving benefits not having anticipated the tasks which fell to them. I would not explain any below.
My stay in Paris had been productive, all the tasks, I had assigned had been carried out. I thought that the businesses should follow their normal course. Therefore I got the road serene to visit my late parents then to do the service of the truck before the meeting with my future travel companions.
I had appointment
on the 06/02 at
MAN-Bresse to do the service of the truck before the departure to
China and to supplement the batch of spare parts.
The control of the cabin suspension highlighted the necessity to change both silent blocs.
I continued my way to stop in Saint Jean de Bournay at the Garage Campagne to install four shock absorbers with nitrogen gas improving comfort of the truck on the road of Asia and everywhere.
I remained at Michel WEHRLE

The meeting of China journey preparation with FABRE and PERRIN team was held at Yves POLGE's home in Sigoyer. Yves and Annie accommodated us cordially and made us benefit from the experience gained at the time of their journeys in China 2000 and Mongolia 2004.

The saga of obtaining the visas is told by the page of presentation, see the menu in top of page. The incompetence of the agency VALS obliged me to change the route to go to Mongolia. I can only recommend to the candidates for a journey requiring of the letters of invitation for visas to manage themselves this important task. Contrary to my starting opinion, the effectiveness will be better and the cost will be cheaper.

I had taken delivery of the
material ordered at IEC Telecom. The tests of use of the connection of
the laptop computer with the GPS would have to be done at the time of
the trip towards the home base. Alas the late delivery and the catch in
hand at the time had not highlighted the problems of
connection of the microcomputer with the GPS 276C of Garmin and
impossibility of recovering the driver of this one. So that IEC-Telecom
reinstalled the software system of the computer, I was brought to go on a
trip to Paris on the 27 and on February 28.
During my stay in Paris, the weather was not mild. Every night, the temperature went down under zero. In spite of sometimes negative temperatures, bicycling in Paris was pleasant with a dry and sunny weather.
