Following the destruction of my MAN
truck at the time of an accident,
to see here, occurred on the road
Mex #1, Baja California, Mexico, I
returned to France coming from
Ensenada, Mexico, San Diego & New
York, the USA, Paris then Draguignan,
France. Leaved on Tuesday the 5th
March at 3 am I arrived at the Estate
of Rochilles on Wednesday the 6th
around 6 p.m.

Continuation of the world tour with a new vehicle
A family meeting was held with my brother,
my sister-in-law and my two nephews. We
are agreed that I was to set out again at
the accident scene to continue my journey.
The question to solve consisted in
deciding the choice of the new vehicle.
The experience of a MAN truck, with its
advantages and its disadvantages and, my
age inclined me to look at a smaller motor
home. I contacted several travellers whose
Michel W. I fixed my choice after several
visits on a Mercedes “G” equipped with a
Azalaï body,
to see here. But alas this vehicle on
order will not be available before
mid-October 2013. Of course I would not
have with my future truck, called truck-2,
the conveniences which I had with the MAN.
I must wait eight month remaining at the
backoffice while taking part in the
maintenance work of the Estate of
Rochilles.
The not-definite delivery
date, the debugging then the upgrade
before the new departure return the
shipping of camoin-2 to the continent of
North America at the end of the autumn
2013. It will not be the ideal moment to
approach the east coast of Canada and/or
the USA taking into account the shipping
roads carrying vehicles, to follow.

and my sister-in-law accommodated
their four grandchildren.

Working
I took part, with my two left hands, with
various maintenance work of the estate,
wood-cutting, clearing of undergrowth and
especially the tiling of the edge of the
swimming pool and the repair of the wall
of a bank whose origin probably goes back
to work of the convicts of Toulon.

Gastronomy
My stay at the Estate of Rochilles is
always a gastronomical course of big
games, wild boar, moufflon, roe-deer,
chamois etc., small games, woodcock,
thrush, pheasant, partridge etc,
without forgetting wild trouts of the
Verdon's canyon as well as sumptuous
morels.

I must tell an anecdote; I accompanied
my nephew Christophe and his Mathys
son at fishing party in the Artuby
canyon,
to see here. Alas I slipped on the
slipping rocks under water and I fell
heavily by causing a distortion of
the right knee. Of course I consulted
the urgencies of the hospital of
Draguignan which produced radios and a
MRI. I carried a splint during 10
days, I took drugs as well as 20
physiotherapies of rehabilitation.

beginning of September…
