Tinogasta

On Monday, September 6th I thus remained in Tinogasta to publish the pages of my website and to consult my mailbox. I bivouacked opposite the cybercafé on Plaza.

Salicas

On Tuesday, September 7th the sun had returned after a cold night, -4°C with the sunrise. I left Tinogasta in the morning still profiting from the Wifi connection of the cybercafé. The road calculated by QuoVadis7 proposed to me to take again the RP-#3 to go from Tinogasta to Campanas to join the ruta-#78 then ruta-#40 at Guandacol. Of course without any hesitation I didn't follow this recommendation, once is enough. I thus took ruta-#60 then famous ruta-#40 to go to Nonogasta. Left tardily I stopped in Salicas to lunch away from the road on Plaza. I decided to bivouac on the spot.

Nonogasta

On Tuesday evening I had prepared two videos of terrible RP-#3 to add to the preceding publication. I had located a Wifi connection close to the municipality. on Wednesday morning I entered the building to ask for connection. A young lady indicated it to me. Alas the connection speed was not able to transfer 9 and 14 Mo. Death in the heart I gave up to go to Nonogasta. On the way I made a strange meeting; a very savage ostrich which I photographed at flight. I used a known bivouac by travellers at the entrance of Nonogasta close to a small garden.

Villa Union

On Thursday, September 8th I continued to progress on Ruta-#40 towards Villa Union in Cuesta de Miranda where work is still in hand to finish to asphalt the roadway. The video below gives an outline of the civil engineer necessary. I expected the authorization in the direction alternated accompanied by two Brazilian motorcyclists whom one spoke English. In Villa Union I bivouacked on the carpark of the Tourist-Office where a Wifi connection made it possible to publishtwo videos of the RP-3 on previous page. The day was hot but the nights are still very cold at 1140 m of altitude.

Las Flores

On Friday, September 9th I still progressed on the ruta-#40, quasi rectilinear and very tedious except in Quebrada San José de Jáchal. Then it was the ruta-150 to Las Flora with the objective to visit Capilla de Achango that I did not find and nobody to inform me. I bivouacked at the edge of Plaza de Las Flora close to a asthmatic Wifi connection. At 1850 m of altitude the temperature reached +30°C in the afternoon.

Villa Independencia

I left Las Flores after having downloaded the put-with-day of Windows Anniversary not without difficulties and slownesses… To go to San Augustin del Valle Fértil I took the ruta-#149 up to Talacasto then impossible to circumvent the ruta-#40 up to San Juan and finally the ruta-#41. Left tardily I stopped after Villa Independencia to bivouac on a YPF large carpark. To send the positions reports with Airmail it was necessary me to put the hands in dirty oil, because the new version of Windows had sown the discord in the Bluetooth parameters of SCS Pactor 7800 modem and moreover for the Panasonic Toughbook CF19 it missed the System Interface Device - 0021! Where to find it, certainly with Internet, but where to put it?

San Augustin del Valle Fértil

On Sunday morning the September 11th I moved towards San Augustin del Valle Fértil. I was very disappointed because the valley is a not cultivated undergrowth. The village is without much interest except that this Sunday the Tourist Office was open to give me documentation as indicating a restaurant and a Wifi connection at Eco Hostel. I bivouacked around Plaza.
