-- Phnom Penh, consolidation works on the body |
|
As of his arrival in Phnom Penh Sunday 03/02 Wolf inspected my truck to decide what work to do. The installation of the U shaped steel bars lasted three long days as of the workshop opening until the fallen night. We made several tests to judge the performance of the cell. Wednesday evening Wolf concluded the end of work. He decided to go visiting Angkor. |

The 07/02 in the morning I paid the expenses of the hotel and of the workshop then I went back to the carpark opposite the South gate of Silver Pagoda. The days of the 07 and the 08 were devoted in steps by forwarding agents to obtain a loading of my truck to Europe. I concluded that they were not laid out to do proposals elsewhere than from the port of Sihanoukville whose exorbitant price was approximately 22000 US dollars. |

During a discussion with SDV Cambodia I decided to drive to Singapore where I was sure to find a loading at the best price in Southeast Asia. My interlocutor sent all the parts of my file to SDV Singapore where I sent an email to the designated person. The 08/02 I dined with Wolf on his go back from the visit of Angkor. We had a long talk on following giving as soon as my truck will be in Europe. It should be noted that the border of Vietnam is difficult to cross. Marcelle & Alain, Athinganos, awaited five days at the border post goodwill of a custom’s officer in spite of the intervention of the embassy of France. The 09 I made the last preparations before my departure. February 10 I left Phnom Penh for Thailand with the hope that it was only one goodbye. |

The following weeks were dedicated to drive to Bangkok then to Singapore for a loading of my truck towards Europe. |
