The departure from Cuenca was at dawn to join Loja where I had a
break to lunch to continue towards Macara, border post with Peru. On
the way some landscapes of the last mountains in Ecuador then a
merry cavalcade in a crossed village. Little possibility of bivouac
in mountain, I was satisfied with a roadside at 993 meters high by
hoping for peace the night fallen.
Macara
I left the roadside after at peaceful night. Few before the border
with Peru a long line vehicles waited at the Petroecuador service
station to fill the tank before entering Peru. Waiting was of
approximately 30 minutes. I warned at side a station of washing of
vehicles. I benefitted from it to have made a beauty for my truck,
approximately 40 minutes for US$5. Before continuing I took the last
photo in Ecuador, a rice plantation in culture.
