Paris
Out of laziness, I gave the GPS the address of the Paris campsite in the
Bois de Boulogne. Unfortunately, on the way, I noticed that I was
passing through the Ruhr, a very industrial region in Germany, with a
complex and old motorway network that I traveled through in heavy rain
with reduced visibility. The choice of GPS is the application of the
Pythagorean theorem, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal
to the sum of the squares of the lengths of both sides of the right
angle. Thus, it is the shortest distance but the longest duration; in
fact the Karlsruhe motorway then the A4 motorway to Paris is longer in
distance but less in time. Anyway, I bivouacked in Belgium at the Orion-Hozémont
rest area. I arrived in Paris on October 6 to see the traffic jam
resulting from the works, especially Porte Maillot. I was staying at the
Paris Campsite for four days to have lunch with a girl friend and then
visit two museums, Orsay and Guimet. The two photo galleries are
sufficient on their own to save me superfluous comments. Admittedly,
Gustave Courbet’s painting of the Origin of the World was the object of
negative judgments, irrelevant; it is also forbidden to exhibit in
certain easily recognizable countries! As a counterpoint, I present a
photo of the lingam-yoni from the temples of Shiva in India.

Troyes
Sunday October 10 I left Paris for a pilgrimage to Troyes, my hometown
until my adolescence, then to pay homage to my parents, their burial is
at the Loges Margueron cradle of my paternal family where I visited a
cousin present during the months summer. Finally I visited a friend in
Chainq near Neuvy-Sautour. The Troyes gallery presents the memorial
sites of my life until my twentieth year. I noticed that my father's
body shop is partially occupied by the United Pentecostal Church of
Troyes! I bivouacked in the Auberives rest area on the A7 my way to
Villa Thébaïde.
