Buenos Aires

Monday, October 10th is a bank holiday in Argentina, Colombus Day. I remained in Buenos Aires at the bivouac of Av. Julieta Lanteri.

Las Flores

On Tuesday, October 11th I left the avenue Julieta Lanteri at Buenos Aires to go towards to Ushuaia at low speed in order to wait the southern summer. But before I took a complement of breakfast in McDo to use Wifi connection in order to publish the pages of my website. The absolutely flat landscape, approximately 30 m high, consists of pastures. Then on the RN #3 I was looking for a bivouac in the streets of the village Las Flora.

RN #76

Wednesday, October 12th was long road in a landscape of very tedious pastures. Finally I found a bivouac close to an unused and in ruin gas-station.

Bahia Blanca, RN #3

On Thursday, October 13th was still a long driving morning on the RN #51 to reach Bahia Blanca where I made supply at the Carrefour Market downtown area. Then I found a bivouac at the edge of a channel on the RN #3 full south towards Ushuaia at 3,387 km, of course with some detours for visits.

Balneario El Condor

On Friday, October 14th on the way towards Balneario El Condor I stopped in Carmen de Patagones at Tourist Office to obtain a city map. Bingo there is a Wifi connection which I will use on Monday morning to publish the pages of my website. The visit of the city was disappointing because no monument was open. After having climbed a staircase I discovered the towers of the church. But before I passed in front of the Rancho Rial dating back to 1820, then it was the Torre del Fuerte built to control the access to the city in 1780. Finally I arrived at Iglesia Parroquial Nuestra Señora del Carmen, 1883, which has a Virgin dating back to 1780. After this short visit I moved towards Balneario El Condor to bivouac vis-a-vis the sea waiting for, according to the T.O, a lot of parrots at fallen the night, to follow.

Bahia Rosas

On Friday, October 15th I decided to go to visit Reserva Faunistica de Punta Bermeja located after La Loberia. Sea lions wallow at the bottom of the cliff whereas parrots nest in the cliff and undertake grouped flights such the aviators during the exhibitions above aerodromes. The view of parrots with their sumptuous colors is a moment of pure happiness. I found a bivouac at Bahia Rosas above the cliff at 23 m of altitude.

Baja El Faro

On Sunday, October 16th I went back towards Carmen de Patagones by stopping at Baja El Faro little before Balneario El Condor. It had rained during the night and the day was gloomy with a cloudy sky without hope of breaks and a temperature of +12°C. While going down to Ushuaia the temperature will not be mild in spite of the southern summer at the end of November.
